On September 6, 2019, the First Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Outstanding Cultural and Creative Industries Awards was organized and held in Hong Kong by the Hang Seng University of HK and the China Daily.  Dr Moses Cheng, Member of the Board of Governors and Chairman of Council of HSUHK and Dr Wilfred Wong, Chairman of the HK Arts Development Council, attended the event as Officiating Guests and gave keynote speeches.  The Awards intend to recognize and affirm the achievements of 20 award-winners which were chosen by a panel of experts from Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing according to objective criteria from among seven categories: 1. News/Internet Information Services; 2. Content Creation Production; 3. Creative Design Services; 4. Culture Dissemination Channels; 5. Culture, Entertainment & Leisure Services; 6. Auxiliary Cultural Production and Agency Services; 7. Cultural Equipment Production.  The Awards also aim to promote understanding of development of the Cultural and Creative Industries in the Greater Bay Area.
