Wan Ki LO is a Hong Kong born and raised transdisciplinary art practitioner, independent curator and educator. She concerns about experience in art, how art could convey memories of home city, and stimulate sensitivity and human’s heart.
She attended the MFA program at the School of Drama, Yale University in 2009-10 and received The Donald and Zorka Oenslager Scholarship in Stage Design in 2010. She has practiced in London and New York for architectural and theatre design projects.
She is also an educator who acts as the subject co-ordinator for Spatial Studies Program at HKICC Lee Shau Kee Hong Kong School of Creativity between 2019 – 2021 and as guest lecturer at The University of Hong Kong and General Studies and The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.
Wan Ki’s curatorial practice is always specialized with unique spatial strategies. She is one of the founding members of Emptyscape and curated < Ping Che Festival 2013 & 2016 , an art festival at the north-east new territories closed to the border. Her project < Dear Babies : Stories Exhibition > (2021) held in House by Kubrick at TaiKoo Plaza created accidentally encounter intimate stories relating to the issue of crisis pregnancy.
